Got announces 10-days winter break for Jammu schools from Dec-26 | KNO

Jammu, Dec 21 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government Saturday announced winter break for schools of summer zone in Jammu region from December-26 to January-04. As per an order issued by Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ), the government and recognized private schools of the summer zone of Jammu division shall observe a ten-day winter vacation with effect from December-26-2024 to January-04- 2025. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), DSEJ in order further said that any default on part of the Head of the schools or teaching staff in observance of this schedule shall attract action under rules. Pertinently, the School Education Department earlier had announced winter vacations in phased manner from December-10 and December-16 respectively in the Kashmir division and winter zones of the Jammu division. Principal Secretary School Education Department Suresh Kumar Gupta in an order had said that for students’ upto 5th standard, the vacations shall begin from December-10 to February-28 and in case of students from 6th standard to 12th standard, the vacation shall begin from December-16 to February-28-2025—(KNO)
